National Small Business Week is celebrated during the first week of May every year and takes place from April 30 to May 6, 2023. For more than 50 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated the week to recognize the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
- Small Business Week is a great opportunity for brands to promote their products, and satellite media tours (SMTs) are the perfect way to do it!
There are more than 30-million small businesses in the United States, and that number is only growing. There are even more home-based businesses and home offices, with billions of dollars spent every year on technology helping to drive efficiencies and growth.
- Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and they create millions of jobs.
By promoting products during Small Business Week, brands can join the conversation and show their support for small business owners. The exposure and visibility that an SMT can provide can be a great way to reach potential customers and create brand awareness.
- SMTs can also help brands tap into the emotional side of the small business story.
Through interviews and stories, this is an opportunity to demonstrate the value of the brand and create a connection with millions of potential customers and share how their products or services can help the small business community.
