As co-founder of News Media Group, Jennifer uses her ten years of experience as a television news reporter and anchor to produce original programs to attract the attention of television and radio stations nationwide for her clients.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish.  Her career in television began in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley.  She served two years as a bureau reporter for WCBI and two years as the weekend anchor for WTVA.  Her favorite assignment put her in the passenger seat of a Russian Yak-54 as the stunt pilot performed a series of rolls and dives.

In late 2004, Jennifer moved back to her hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida, where she worked as a reporter for WPBF briefly before being recruited as a reporter and fill-in anchor by WPTV, the market’s number one station.  Jennifer’s career as a reporter allowed her to meet and tell the stories of so many fascinating people from all walks of life.

Jennifer co-founded News Media Group in 2009 and serves as the company’s President.

When she’s not working, Jennifer stays busy with her two very active boys and her husband, Rey.  Jennifer is also a bit of a thrill seeker and loves going to amusement parks around the country to ride the tallest, fastest roller coasters. She also enjoys traveling. Her travels have taken her to places like Costa Rica, Europe and many Caribbean islands, including her favorites, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.

With more than 20 years of experience in consumer television, Karl enjoys tapping into his creative side to develop original programs and media tours that offer clients valuable exposure with a great ROI.

A South Florida native, he graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Finance and Marketing. During college, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was honorably discharged after spending 6+ years with an organization that taught him the value of teamwork and camaraderie.

After spending his first 4 years out of college as a financial adviser, Karl began his media career in the early 1990s as an associate producer for programs that aired on national cable television. He researched story ideas and built relationships with content sponsors for program underwriting. He later advanced as a segment producer and executive producer for two companies that created short consumer programs airing on public television.

Karl was a founding shareholder in one of the first Internet video hosting companies in the late 90’s and then helped co-found and build a production webcasting company whose clients included Microsoft, The American Comedy Awards, the Sundance Film Festival, CBS Sports and Time Warner Online. It was one of the leading companies in that space to help corporate and entertainment clients webcast their content live on the Internet.

Karl co-founded News Media Group in 2009 and serves as the company’s executive producer — a role that allows him to merge his television production skills with his finance and marketing background.

When he’s not helping clients at News Media Group, Karl enjoys traveling, which recently led him to Iceland, a tour of Italy, State Parks in Arizona and Utah, hiking in the North Carolina mountains and a Fall drive that covered all the New England states. He enjoys being out in nature, physical fitness, playing golf and tennis and reading non-fiction books…especially about finance, marketing, history and biographies.
